So we're gonna kick off a new segment here at A Thousand Bad Ideas called Script To Panel*. This is pretty self explanatory. Script. Art. Your brain processing the two. I personally think one of the best ways to get better at comics is to not only look at scripts but also look at the corresponding pages. There's a transition from script to panel that both writers as well as artists need to understand. Because you guys are going to be like... working together and stuff.
The awesome thing about comics is that with scripts there is no one way to write a script. There's a lot of variety out there! I have a script collection to prove it! So from time to time I'll be throwing up pages of script as well as the artwork that came out of it so you can see both of the processes that go into making a comic and the translation in between.
Today we'll be starting with Invincible #1, pages 1-4. Take a gander at Kirkman's script and Walker's art.

See you next time. Oh, and if you want more Invincible you can always snag it via Amazon or digitally at Comixology.
*I'm sorry, I couldn't think of anything more clever
